Chilean cable operator VTR, part of Liberty Global's Latin American and Caribbean group (LiLAC), reported revenues of CLP 146.5 billion in the third quarter, a 5.9 percent increase on the year-earlier result of CLP 138.3 billion, thanks to higher cable and mobile ARPU and customer additions. The operator ended the quarter with 2.79 million revenue generating units (RGUs), having added 13,000 RGUs in the July-September period. VTR also added 21,000 broadband RGUs, its strongest third-quarter gains since 2007 due to new products and speed increases to 100 Mbps for its core bundles.
