Chile's VTR rejects consumer complaint over fixed line performance

Monday 18 January 2021 | 12:15 CET | News
Chilean cable operator VTR (Liberty Latin America) has strongly rejected a complaint brought by consumer rights body Conadecus regarding the poor quality of its service, above all during the Covid-19 health emergency. According to court documents cited by business daily Diario Financiero, the operator said it responded adequately and diligently to the surge in internet demand caused by coronavirus lockdowns, adding that the complaint refers to a scenario of supposed normality that fails to take into account the effects of the pandemic.
