Chile's WOM launches beta version of Android-based TV service

Chilean mobile operator WOM has begun trials of its new pay-TV offering as a beta service using an Android TV-based STB, reports local website Pisapapeles. The service will be called "WOM TV" and will be powered by an STB called "WOM TV Box" manufactured by SES Robotics with an Amlogic S905X2 processor and the Android 9 OS. The bundled remote control comes with Google Assistant voice control and includes direct access buttons to the WOM TV app, Netflix, YouTube and Google Play.
