China cybersecurity law to enter into force on 1 June

China will implement its new cybersecurity law on 1 June. The law strengthens data surveillance and storage for firms working in the country, Xinhua news agency reports. Adopted by China's Parliament in November 2016, the new law bans online service providers from collecting and selling users' personal information, Reuters reports. Under the new cybersecurity law, users will have the right to have their information deleted, in cases of abuse.
