China Mobile, Ericsson to demo Intel cellular IoT modem

China Mobile, Ericsson and Intel will complete an application demonstration based on latest mobile IoT technology on 29 June at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2016, claiming the demo would be a world first. With Ericsson's RBS6000 multi-mode base station and the pre-commercial software based on the latest Cellular IoT technology, the Intel XMM 7115 modem platform, as well as China Mobile's environment monitoring application and platform, the joint demonstration aims to achieve interconnection and application of the world's latest Cellular IoT technology.
