China Mobile, Unicom invest in cloud computing parks

China Mobile and China Unicom have begun the construction of two cloud computing parks with both companies investing a total of CNY 7 billion, Xinhua reports. The cloud computing parks will be located in Gui'an New Area in Guizhou Province, where rival China Telecom began the construction of a cloud computing centre in October. China Unicom is investing CNY 5 billion in its cloud computing park which will cover around 33.3 hectares while China Mobile is investing CNY 2 billion in a 18.33 hectare cloud computing park.
