China to tighten online advertising oversight

A number of Chinese government agencies will work together to crack down on illegal online advertising. The crackdown aims to tighten monitoring and control over online ads on portal sites, online video sites, transaction platforms, search sites, and medical sites, the Marbridge Daily writes citing a Beijing News report. The government agencies also plan to draft a series of rules specifically for online advertising.
