China withdraws approval for Facebook's innovation hub project - report

According to a Chinese government database, Facebook had gained approval to open a subsidiary, but the registration has since disappeared, writes Reuters. On 24 July, Facebook announced plans to create an "innovation hub" to support China startups and developers. The company did now respond to requests for comment.
