Chinese AI start-up SenseTime raises USD 600 mln in latest funding round

Chinese AI start-up SenseTime raised USD 600 million during its Series C round of funding led by Alibaba. Other participants included Temasek and Suning. The company said it will use the money to build out its AI platform, push innovation and open up new business opportunities. CEO Li Xu said the funding will also help the company widen its scope for more industrial AI applications.
