Chinese smartphone market rebounds in Q2, tops 90 million sell-in units

The smartphone market in Mainland China saw a 25 percent quarter-on-quarter growth to 90 million sell-in units in the second quarter of 2020, despite the market contracting 7 percent compared to the second quarter of 2019. China's smartphone market is on track for recovery amid a sharp rebound of economic activity, according to a report from Canalys. The report further indicates that Huawei led its home market, shipping 40.2 million units in the three months ended 30 June 2020, and extending its market share to 44 percent.
