Chorus upgrades broadband network in new areas

New Zealand fixed-line network operator Chorus has announced it has finished work on new fiber-broadband cabinets in Inangahua, Toko, Drury, Hawke's Bay, Heddon Bush, Hexton, the Manawatu-Wanganui region, Ohoka, Puhoi, the Queenstown Lakes District, Rotokawa, and rural Otago. The work in these areas is part of Chorus' involvement in the Government's Rural Broadband Initiative. As part of this project, Chorus is deploying some 1200 fibre-fed cabinets to rural areas throughout New Zealand.
