CHT, ASE, Qualcomm join forces to build 5G mmWave smart factory in Taiwan

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), ASE Technology Holding and Qualcomm Technologies will join forces to build Taiwan's first smart factory based on 5G mmWave designated enterprise networks in Kaohsiung, southern Taiwan, writes Digitimes.com citing a joint announcement of the companies. The companies' combined efforts aim to bring AI + AGV (automated guided vehicles) smart transportation, remote AR collaborative efforts and related AR experimental environments created at ASE's Green Technology Education Center to the 5G mmWave factory to be built at ASE's plant in Kaohsiung.
