CIF finds EUR 155 mln financing for fibre roll-out

Dutch banking unit Rabo Bouwfonds Communications Infrastructure Fund (CIF) has signed a financial agreement worth EUR 155 million with Delta Lloyd Asset Management and Rabobank Rotterdam. CIF will use the money to roll out fibre (FTTH) to around 150,000 households. CIF investment manager Randolf Nijsse said he was pleased the fund was able to tap an alternative source of financing. CIF was already able to pick up EUR 1 billion to bring fibre to its cable networks. The fund is investing in passive infrastructure, with a particular eye for fibre (own network) and cable (acquisitions). CIF
