Cirel (Gradignan, France), supplier of solutions for extended corporate networks, has been 100% acquired by Bintec Communications (Nuremberg, Germany), leading provider of network access equipment and services. Cirel expects sales of FFr35 mil in 1999. According to a study by Dataquest dated 27 May 1999, Bintec holds 2nd place in the German access router market with sales of over 21k units, for a market share of 12.2%.
