Cisco, Microsoft sign 3-year data centre sales deal

Cisco and Microsoft have signed a three-year agreement to further integrate their data centre portfolios in a bid to encourage their mutual partners to deploy joint Cisco and Microsoft technologies. The deal, which was announced at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington, DC, will focus on global alignment of the companies' cloud and data centre technologies, including Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS) and Nexus switching line, and Microsoft's Windows Server, System Center, SQL Server and Microsoft Azure.
