Cisco to buy AI specialist MindMeld for USD 125 mln

Cisco said it plans to buy MindMeld, a privately held artificial intelligence (AI) company based in San Francisco, for USD 125 million in cash. Cisco said the company developed a unique AI platform that enables customers to build intelligent and human-like conversational interfaces for any application or device. Through its proprietary machine learning (ML) technology, MindMeld delivers sharp accuracy to help users interact with voice and chat assistants in a more natural way. The company has ten patent assets to its name.
