Cisco to close video software subsidiary in France

Wednesday 28 June 2017 | 16:27 CET | News
Cisco confirmed that its restructuring plan announced in August 2016 will lead to the closure of CVTF (Cisco Video Technologies France), a subsidiary which specialises in video software, reports BFM Business. The closure puts around 200 jobs at risk in the Paris region. Cisco, which plans to scale back its video activities globally, acquired video software and content security provider NDS Group for approximately USD 5 billion in 2012, but has recently been forced to rethink its strategy following major changes in the industry.
