Cisco to demo 5G SA live data call on 28GHz band at MWCA

Cisco announced that it will be taking advantage of its appearance at MWC Americas (MWCA) in Los Angeles to showcase the industry's first 5G NR standalone data call using the 28GHz spectrum band. The company said it will be using PHAZR's virtualised RAN and its cloud native 5G Core for the demo via an end-to-end solution including MEC and a Cisco video server.
