CityFibre could use Openreach ducts in Southend - report

CityFibre is in talks with Openreach about using the latter's ducts and poles for its previously announced Gigabit fibre network in Southend-on-Sea, the Telegraph reports, citing industry sources. CityFibre CEO Greg Mesch said, "We're ready to go with this. We're looking at using ducts and poles in a lot of our cities." He declined to comment specifically on plans in Southend.

Obviously it is not feasible for CityFibre to provide its own alternative infrastructure on a shoestring budget so the ‘Alternative Provider’ has to rely on BT.
