CityFibre says BT-EE will neuter networking deal with MBNL

UK network operator CityFibre has written to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to object to BT's proposed acquisition of mobile operator EE on the grounds that it will neuter the network sharing deals it has with EE, Mobile Today reports. CityFibre signed an agreement with Mobile Broadband Network (MBNL), a joint venture between EE and 3 UK, in November 2014. Although nobody from CityFibre was available to comment on the CMA submission, the operator released a statement claming that up to 100 UK cities set for metro fibre rollouts under the MBNL agreement will be affected if BT
