CLA pledges easier wayleaves for rural broadband expansion

The UK's Country Land and Business Association has pledged to work with telecom operators to improve the process of obtaining wayleave rights to roll out networks on private land, if the government commits to improving rural broadband coverage. The CLA, which represents landowners, farmers and rural businesses, made the offer to the government in response to a call for evidence by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport on extending full-fibre broadband networks.
