Clarin shareholders approve Cablevision spinoff

Argentina's largest media group Grupo Clarin announced that its shareholders have approved a plan to spin off its majority-owned cable TV and internet access business into a separate listed company called Cablevision Holding (CVH). Clarin said CVH will now apply to have its shares listed on the Buenos Aires Stock Market and may also apply to list its shares in one or more additional foreign stock exchanges. The transaction still needs to be authorised by Argentina's securities commission (CNV) and other regulatory bodies but Clarin said it's aiming to complete the process in the first quarter
