Claro Argentina, LoJack launch Strix IoT platform

Claro Argentina (America Movil) has teamed up with CalAmp subsidiary LoJack to launch a new Internet of Things platform called Strix. Under the terms of the strategic partnership deal, the companies will develop Strix, a product that works by connecting an IoT device installed in cars, homes as well as items such bags and bicycles to Claro's 2G, 3G and 4G networks. Prices range from ARS 1,500 for the LoJack device to ARS 150 a month for the IoT service subscription, rising to ARS 350 for the connected car service, reports Telesemana, adding that the system will eventually connect to the
