Claro (America Movil) is committed to investing a total of USD 600 million in the Dominican Republic over the next three years, reports local daily Listin Diario, citing America Movil CEO Daniel Hajj Aboumrad. The announcement was made during a meeting between Hajj and Dominican president Danilo Medina, also attended by Claro Dominicana president Oscar Pena. "The Dominican Republic is the fastest growing country and we will continue to invest," said Hajj, adding that the company will allocate USD 200 million a year to rolling out broadband and LTE networks, among other priorities.
