Cloudberry buys NextNet licence, has international plans

Friday 8 August 2014 | 11:59 CET | News
Small cell operator Cloudberry Mobile has acquired the 2.6 GHz spectrum licence for Norway from Nextnet, InsideTelecom.no reported. Co-founder and CEO Tom Guldberg said Cloudberry intends to build Europe's first operator-neutral mobile network based on small cells, with Norway the showcase for the company's international ambitions. Guldberg declined to say what Cloudberry paid for the frequency licence, but power company Hafslund purchased it at auction in 2007 for a price of NOK 24 million.
