CMA to launch in-depth investigation of PayPal, iZettle deal

The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has decided to refer the merger of PayPal and mobile payments company iZettle for an in-depth Phase 2 investigation. The referral comes after PayPal chose not to offer proposals to address CMA concerns raised as a result of its Phase 1 investigation.
