Com Hem says CEO Franzen to leave at end-2014
Com Hem said Tomas Franzen is to step down as CEO after more than five years with the company, although he will remain in that role until the end of 2014 to ensure a smooth transition. The process to select a successor is well under way, and Com Hem expects to be able to name the replacement in the near future.

Swedish cable operator Com Hem has announced the appointment of Anders Nilsson as Chief Executive Officer and Jon James as Chief Operating Officer. Nilsson replaces Tomas Franzen, whose departure has already been announced and who will be leaving the company on 06 March 2014.

Com Hem starts offering broadband for larger companies

Com Hem said it has brought in a new internet service aimed at larger businesses, called Bredband Pro. The service provides a download speed from 100 Mbps up to 500 Mbps, and an upload speed of 50 Mbps. It is available to the 180,000 enterprises connected to the Com Hem network.

Swedish cable operator Com Hem has announced the appointment of Andrew Barron as executive chairman. Nikos Stathopoulos, current chairman of Com Hem, will remain on the board as a non-executive Director. Barron was formerly Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Virgin Media and prior to that, COO of Modern Times Group (MTG).

Com Hem sees revenue and EBITDA fall in Q3

Swedish cable company Com Hem said revenue in the third quarter of 2013 fell to SEK 1.104 billion from SEK 1.133 billion in the same period of 2012. Adjusted EBITDA decreased slightly to SEK 571 million in the third quarter from SEK 589 million in the same quarter of 2012 as a result of lower revenue, partly offset by lower production and operating costs. The group recognised a net loss of SEK 141 million for the third quarter, up from a net loss of SEK 134 million in the same quarter last year.

Com Hem adds week's catch-up for HD channels via TiVo

Swedish cable operator Com Hem said the seven-day time-shift function on TiVo is now also available for a certain number of HD channels. Viewers can go back by up to a week to catch up with programmes from SVT1 HD, SVT2 HD, National Geographic Channel HD, Silver HD and Animal Planet HD.
