Com Hem starts rolling out 1 Gbps service
Com Hem said it has started supplying internet services at up to 1 Gbps in some places. It said it launched Broadband 500 in August 2013 to about 1 million homes and can now provide the 500 Mbps service to some 1.4 million. It is taking the next step by beginning to provide a 1,000 Mbps service to customers on its own fibre LAN and to those who choose Com Hem as their service provider on certain open access networks. Marie Johansson, head of broadband and telephony product management, said this is in line with the development of services that demand high capacity, such as music and film streaming and connected domestic devices.
