Com Hem to raise some broadband speeds to up to 1 Gbps

Com Hem said it will significantly raise its broadband speeds for certain households in the new year. Until now, it has provided broadband at 100 Mbps to homes with a LAN or fibre but shortly, it will supply services at 250 Mbps, 50 Mbps and even up to 1 Gbps to some homes. Until fairly recently, one had to live in a property where Com Hem had its own infrastructure, if one wanted to use Com Hem services. This is now changing and during 2013, Com Hem has signed agreements with more and more local networks and suppliers who provide services via open access networks. These include Utsikt Bredband, Halmstad Stadsnat, Ornskoldsvik Stadsnet and Open Universe.
