Comcast-Sky, Disney-Fox to spend USD 43 bln on content this year

The merged entities Comcast-Sky and Disney-Fox are expected to spend a total of USD 43 billion on content this year, according to a study from Ampere Analysis. The amount is more than the combined spend of the next ten largest content spenders in the US, including Netflix and Amazon. The number also means that 2 out 10 US dollars spent on content worldwide, will be by one of the two companies.
