Commerce Department removes ZTE from US trade blacklist

The US Department of Commerce has removed China's ZTE from a trade blacklist after ZTE pleaded guilty to violating sanctions on Iran. ZTE also agreed to pay around USD 900 million, Reuters reports, citing a US Department of Commerce statement. Back in 2016, the US Commerce Department placed export restrictions on ZTE, after accusing the company of infringing US sanctions against Iran.
