Comores Cables, SFR, Emtel sign MoU to link Comoros, Mayotte

Comores Cables, SFR Mayotte and Emtel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to create a consortium called Gombessa that will connect Comoros to Mayotte by a new undersea cable, according Al Watwan newspaper. The 350 km link, estimated to cost EUR 16 million, will link the EASSy cable that lands in Comoros and the LION2 cable that connects to Mayotte.
