Europe: Manufacturers of multi-chip modules (MCMs), such as Blaupunkt, are looking for ways in which their products can be produced less expensively, since many electronics product manufacturers use the high cost of MCMs as their main reason for not using such devices in their products. At present, the majority of manufacturers prefer to use conventional printed circuit board solutions within their products, mainly for financial reasons.
