Connected devices gain popularity in France during health crisis – study

The Covid-19 crisis has played a part in driving up wider usage of connected devices in France, compared to 2019. According to the latest Digital Barometer study published by Arcep, the proportion of French consumers who used smartphones rose to 84 percent in the second half of 2020, up from 77 percent a year earlier. For computers, the progression was even faster over the same period (88% from 76%), reflecting widespread remote working.
