Consumer demand for quad-play still uncertain - 3 UK CEO

The jury is still out on whether consumers really want quad-play services in the UK, mobile operator 3 UK's CEO, David Dyson, told the Financial Times. The operator's parent company, Hutchison Whampoa is in talks to buy Telefonica's O2 UK. Consumer desire for converged services was one of the arguments put forward by fixed oeprator BT when it announced its planned acquisition of mobile market leader EE.
