Consumer group seeks price caps for EU cross-border calls
The European Commission's telecom regulations reform, due to be agreed in April 2014, should include provisions to significantly reduce the price of roaming and cross-border phone calls, according to lobby group "Europeans for Fair Roaming". The organisation argues that the reforms should not exclusively benefit operators by making cross-border mergers and network sharing easier. It wants to see the introduction of price caps for all international phone calls within the EU in a similar way as this is already done for roaming.
