Corning starts new USD 5 bln share buyback programme

Corning said it will be keeping its recently lifted quarterly dividend at USD 0.20 for shareholders on record at end August, but that it has approved a new USD 5 billion share buyback programme, to start on 17 July. The company announced in June that it intended to distribute USD 8-10 billion to shareholders in 2020-2023 and to buy back USD 5-7 billion worth of shares. The company is also aiming to raise dividends by 10 percent.
