Cortez named Telefonica del Peru executive president

Telefonica's Peruvian unit (Telefonica del Peru) has announced the appointment of Pedro Cortez as its new executive president, combining the positions of country president and CEO. He will take over from company veteran Javier Manzanares, country president since 2006, starting on 01 January 2019. Manzanares has been with Telefonica for over 30 years, including 24 years in Peru and more than two decades in a management role.
