Cosmote released its Cosmote Fiber network, delivering faster broadband to 2.5 million households and businesses through VDSL. The network continues to expand to more and more neighbourhoods across Greece. After the completion of the project, approximately 2.9 million households and businesses in 650 cities, towns and villages all over Greece, corresponding to more than 60 percent of the country's fixed lines, will have access to Cosmote Fiber for even higher internet speeds through fibre optics.

Through investments of EUR 2 billion over the last six years and a new investment plan of EUR 1.5 billion by 2020 for fibre and new generation networks, OTE Group said it implements the largest fibre expansion project in Greece. Approximately 13,000 cabinets have already been connected with fibre across the country and an extra 3,000 new cabins will be added, in the framework of development plans approved by the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission.
