Cosmote named fastest ISP in Greece by nPerf

Cosmote dominates the Greek ISP market in terms of performance of fixed internet connections by being first on download and upload speed tests and on latency tests, according to data from speed test engine nPerf. The data took into consideration 251,793 connection tests made in 2018 on Greece's four largest ISPs. Wind came in 2nd place, widening the gap in the second semester of 2018 with its competitors Nova and Vodafone.

In 2018, the average download speed in Greece was 15 Mbps, the average upload speed was 2 Mbps and the average latency was 89 ms.

All technologies combined, Cosmote offered the best download and upload speeds (17.28 Mbps and 2.23 Mbps) and offered the best average latency to their subscribers in 2018.

Forthnet had the second highest download speeds, 14.09 Mbps, and the third highest upload speeds, 1.75 Mbps. Vodafone was 3rd in the downloads classification with 11.63 Mbps and 4th in the upload classification with 1.51 Mbps. Wind had the lowest download speeds, 15.35 Mbps, and was second in terms of upload speeds with 1.87 Mbps.
