Court orders Telmex to share network with rivals

Mexico's Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal by America Movil's Telmex unit against the requirement to let rival operators use its network and infrastructure, ruling it does not violate its rights, reports Reuters. The provision is one of the key aspects of the 2013-14 telecommunications reform but was abandoned after the same court ruled in August that America Movil's interconnection rates should be set by telecom regulator IFT.
