Court says operators must resolve Sim tax dispute with NBR

The Bangladesh High Court has sent the three mobile operators back to the National Board of Revenue's (NBR) tribunal to resolve a Sim tax dispute within 120 days, the Dhaka Tribune reports. The NBR last year asked the operators to pay a total of BDT 30.18 billion in Sim replacement taxes. Grameenhone would have to pay BDT 15.80 billion, Banglalink BDT 7.74 billion, and Robi was asked to pay BDT 6.64 billion. The operators took the case to court but the High Court has now sent the operators to the NBR's appelate tribunal. Before the hearing they are required to pay 10 percent of the total
