Court sides with Telstra in ad dispute with Optus

The Victorian Supreme Court has sided with Telstra in a dispute with Optus over mobile network ads. Telstra argued that Optus misled the public with its ads that claim there is less than 1 percent difference in the reach of both mobile networks. Justice James Elliott said that each of Optus' representations was misleading or deceptive, or likely to mislead or deceive, The Australian reports. Optus' ad claimed that its own mobile network reaches 98.5 percent of Australia versus Telstra's 99.3 percent.
