Court tells Charter to stop using Windstream bankrupcy in ad campaigns

A federal court has ordered Charter Communications to stop using Windstream's bankruptcy filing in its advertisements, and to pay for letters to all Windstream customers, saying the ad sent to them by Charter was "untrue and improper," Fierce Telecom reported. Windstream noted that Charter used envelopes that had Windstream's trademark and company colours to imply that it would not be able to provide services to its subscribers and that it was going to liquidate its assets. Charter will have to stop implying that Windstream is going out of business or that its bankruptcy will impair or impact
