Cox to launch new streaming service for broadband-only clients in next few months

Cox Communications is planning to launch a new streaming service for broadband-only customers over the next few months, LightReading reported. The company said it is working on a product similar to Comcast's recently unveiled "Xfinity Flex" offering, set to launch on 26 March. A spokesperson for Cox said the company is working out the details for the service, which will include the best of Contour's guide (search, voice remote, UI). The service will feature both free and paid video and music apps, offer integration with its "xFi" smart home management platform, and let customers add a pay-TV
