CSA favours content protection over data carriers

French broadcast authority CSA is pushing for net neutrality. Its president, Michel Boyon, said that he was in favour of a rapprochement between CSA and telecom regulator Arcep only as long as content protection issues outrank pipes, Numerama reports. Put differently, Boyon feels that ISPs will have to accept to filter and block some websites and services, dropping the notion that they are only simple data carriers.
