CTIA puts mobile device info portal out to tender

US wireless association CTIA has published a request for proposals for a company to create and operate the Mobile Device Information Portal (MDIP). The portal will enable consumers and commercial resellers to determine if a mobile device has been reported lost or stolen before they buy or sell it. The RFP seeks proposals for the creation and operation of a MDIP and evolving over time under the guidance of CTIA. Interested parties have until 15 February to indicate their intent to submit an RFP response.
