Cultural TV channel Arte works on pan-European VoD project

Franco-German TV network Arte is holding talks with its main shareholders on the possible launch of a pan-European VoD service, reports Les Echos quoting a statement from Veronique Cayla, the president of Arte France. The new streaming service would aim to bring together the "best of European public channels", initially focusing on documentaries and current affairs programmes. The business model for the platform will be examined in May by Germany's public broadcasters ARD and ZDF, shareholders of Arte Deutschland, and their French counterpart France Televisions, the main shareholder of Arte
