CWC to acquire Dominican cable operator Marpin 2K4 - report

Tuesday 23 June 2015 | 11:06 CET | News
Cable and Wireless Communications (CWC) has reached an agreement to acquire Dominican operator Marpin 2K4, according to unnamed sources cited in local news portal Dominica Vibes. Marpin 2K4, which is currently owned by the Dominica Social Security and provides cable TV and broadband services, has been faced with major financial constraints in recent months, forcing management to cut employee salaries, said the report. According to the sources, the sale should be finalised by the end of the month.
