Cyanogen launches MOD app integration platform

Cyanogen has announced at Mobile World Congress the launch of a new mobile platform designed to further open up the Cyanogen OS Android framework to third party apps. The new platform – dubbed Cyaonogen MOD – will enable deeper integration into the mobile operating system of apps and services that were previously isolated. The company said it will provide platform APIs to help developers implement "unique experiences" directly within Cyanogen OS.
